Disability Night Out

Sign the Guest Book.

Disability Night Out is a night you take for yourself. On Saturday, October 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. your local time, you pick a restaurant, café, or pub and take a seat, alone or with whoever you like. No one organizes it for you, and you don’t need anyone’s permission. What makes it powerful is that strangers in cities all over the world are doing the same thing at the same time.

Went out? Sign the Guest Book so your seat is counted and, if you’d like, so everyone can see your table. Wearing some purple encouraged, any photo welcome.

Facebook Groups are a separate, optional way to meet others nearby. You never need one to take part. Find a Facebook Group

If others at your table are also signing the Guest Book, count just yourself.

City and State or Province
Your table (photo optional)

Snap your table. Wearing some purple encouraged, any photo welcome. No face needed: a purple scarf, a cup, or a hand on the table all count. Everyone in the photo should be okay with it being posted. JPG, PNG, and iPhone (HEIC) photos all work.

This helps people who use screen readers enjoy your photo. For example: “Four friends laughing around a pizza, one in a purple scarf.”

Shown with a posted photo. A nickname or initials is fine.

Private. We use it only to count your seat once and to reply if needed. We never show or share it.

We look at every photo before it goes up, usually within a day or two. To have yours taken down, write to gather@disabilitynightout.org any time.

Who took a seat

Photos from people who said it’s okay to post them, added in batches after review.

The first photos will appear here after October 10. Check back soon.
